Project Description

Sixth Floor Museum

Opened in February 1989, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza attracts an average of 450,000 visitors annually. Among the many points of interest for museum visitors is the opportunity to gaze through the sixth floor windows overlooking Dealey Plaza to observe the route of the Presidential motorcade as it passed in front of this building on November 22, 1963. In October 1993, the National Park Service formally designated the building and Dealey Plaza as being part of the Dealey Plaza Historic Landmark District.
